Is this goodbye?

Post by Rob1970 »

Well, I just manage to finnagle a Stug III with all steel running gear, tracks and whatnot with a V6.0 installed. Took a bit of negotiation, not in the least to get the price where I want it, and the payment split between AliExpress and Paypal to avoid the VAT for a big part and the Import Duties in total. But I did it... Seller is going to side-grade it from a V7.0 to a V6.0 because I can't deal with a Stug III of all things zooming around the battle field growling and whistling like an Abrams... :/

Ye Gods... what have I done? Another tank? SWMBO is gonna kill me... especially when she finds out about the T34-85 that is coming in right behind the King Tiger...

I commend my soul to any god that can find it... It was nice knowing you gentlemen...

... No, I do not have a problem....

When she sees the new tanks, just say “oh. These old things. I’ve had them for ages”.
If it’s good enough for women to try that ploy with new shoes, clothes etc. It’s definitely good enough for tanks. This tactic also works on N Gauge locos, guitar stuff and other bloke hobbies. This is the voice of experience here. The N Gauge locos tactic is especially good as the majority of mine are painted black.

Uhm.. nope. Doesn't work anymore... She has a better memory than I have. I actually was surprised by quite a few finds when I thinned out my stash of unbuild model kits the past weeks... :O
