Good find! I bought one of these a number of years ago at a model railway show so l guess l paid rather more than you did! However, it's paid for itself a dozen times over. How often do we wish we had another hand or two, one for each cable end, another for the solder, another for the iron and one for a slurp of tea! I've not used the glass so often but for electrical work alone, it's a must :)

Found these in Poundland. The mini lamps are very bright and have magnets on the bottom.Image

@) No wonder Aldi's has a deal. Years ago, I had one of those little tabletop vises, and I could use one again. For years I have futilely fought off the other vices. :{

I saw in one of your posts you mentioned being able to get 1/16 Zimmerit sheets? Could you show me where as I'm struggling to find any for my King tiger.

I bought my King Tiger sheets from Forgebear. Dave normally stocks both precut and cut out yourself sheets and for several model brands but you'll need to pick the sheets for the right turret type. His website has them all.

One tip. I used 'No More Nails' to stick mine on. It grips the sheet pieces but allows you ample time to slide them into position. It also fills any gaps and can be moulded into shape with the side of a knife blade if needed. If you cut large pieces they are simpler to fit but always cut along the lines of the zimmerit so your cuts won't show.Image

Just send him a message via his site. If he hasn't got it at the moment he can probably sort something out. If he has uncut sheets then making up paper templates and cutting them is a good option. Don't forget the small, new tube of No more nails too. It's a winner!

I emailed him and he said the guy he got them from no longer supplies him.
I went direct to the Polish guys website and he doesn't list the 1/16 king tiger anymore.

Looks like I will need to get the putty out!!
