So I ordered this rider directly from Jeff in order to pay him proper respects as he is the artist. Of course I can’t ever leave things in unmodified stock form so I carefully carved off the head scarf to give it a slightly different look. The helmet is not glued on until I finish painting the face as suggested by our own Rad Schuhart. Thanks, Rad.
I’ve just started the face painting process and have a long way to go. I think the most difficult thing will be painting realistic wood on the K98. This will be a slow project but I’ll post photos as I go along. Unless I really screw it up, then this thread will fade into the sunset.
