NUMBER 4
Well, the build has dragged on for quite some time now, and so I thought I might (for the first, and probably last time) submit a model for the general behoof: it's the Comet A34. This one's in the markings of the 11th Armoured Division/ 23rd Hussars.
It began life as a styrene flatpack basic kit from Christian Ludwig, but now sports many scratch-built parts, including:
-smoke dischargers
-2in mortar
-radio/ (Troop) intercom
-radio box
-Besa MG mounting
-Hatch hinges
-Mantlet mountings and trunnions
-side elevation unit mountings
...and many more bits and bobs.
Other parts are from the Taigen PzIV (Tracks etc.,); Shapeways etc., whilst the electronic heart is provided by the HL TK 6.1s unit. The Recoil unit is the new HL Alloy type, capable of being enhanced with the 'smoking barrel' feature
The models' painted with Ammo MiG SCC15, British Olive Drab (1944-45 vintage). Apologies for not having a crewman on display, as such. The one I bought looked too huge to fit in the captain's; cupola (Like Captian Hurricane, of comic fame...

) and I've only finished painting a german tanker...
Build thread:

and with a couple of 'guests' (Driver- Charlie Chaplin/Commander: Hauptmann Von Unsinn)

They're just to give a scale 'human' element to the model.
If you manage to stay awake long enough to reach the end of the build thread, you'll also find a short video of the tank in action, by Cecil B. De Military...
