New UK main battle tank

Just read on the news...

"Army to receive 148 of ‘most lethal’ battle tanks in Europe. The contract will see 200 jobs created in Shropshire and a further 450 roles elsewhere in the country."

That's good news for our 3D printer crew as they are Challenger 3, a much updated version of the Chally 2 so we'll probably see them here first!

I think there has been talk of it, or something like it, but there have also been denials and alternative suggestions. It's now official and contracts are announced. I

It's interesting that we are getting another traditional tank as there's been a lot if sound cases for smaller rocket launcher type vehicles. That said, one of the features of the new Chally 3 mbt is a top speed of 60mph. No slouch!

Hmm, thanks for that, my bad as they say. My only defense is that l was not notified of these new posts. I thought the forum sent us notice of all new topics and posts. Is something not working? Feel free to delete this thread, it's serves no purpose now.
