Henglong Abrams build

Hey guys starting a new project. I picked up this Abrams a week ago from a buddy who wanted to get into the hobby but decided not to. It’s the newest version with 360 turret and barrel recoil. Any who I ordered some detail parts and while waiting for them to come in I started working on some of the details. I used a old cd to make the periscopes and started painting the tracks.

"I used a old cd to make the periscopes." Some years ago, I bought a special plastic sheet intended for just that purpose. I used it on an Abrams I later gave to a friend. It wasn't expensive, but it did have a good effect. Yet your idea is much more creative and resourceful. Well done!

Our good Herr Dr. took the word's right out of my mouth! That using of a old CD is a bit of genius! Never would of thought of it, and it looks great too!

Ok so now that my T34 is finished and I finally received all my parts, I got started on the Abrams. It’s going to be a sep v2 version. I got the henglong 7.0 board and remote and have that installed. Most of the work will be to the turret. I have to remove the molded in dog house and range finder then install the more accurate dklm parts. Here’s my progress so far
