New RC command Battle system Installation

Post by Gigantohawk »

Houston we have a probl........only joking !!!!!

Ok Gentlemen I installed one of my new and fully pre-wired Battle systems from Rc Command into one of my Stugs. All is working well and functioning.
Only one issue. There is a very high pitched screech from the speaker when engaging drive. A bit like a speed controller whine but much louder. This whine lessens in volume as the tank speeds up.
The battery leads and power leads are well away from the speaker leads. I've temporarily wrapped the sound and battle card in bubble wrap to insulate them for the moment. But will come up with some plastic cases for these shortly.
Any ideas as to a fix ?

Hi Nick Glad to here its fully working, from listening to the whine over the phone it sounds just like the problem I have with the rx18 boards ,someone else must have this as well or is it just us in the U.K.that can hear it ,I have it in 2 of my tanks fitted with 2 different DBC Types ,Chris(grompix) has it in at least one of his tanks fitted with RX18 boards.

I'm sure we'll get there in the end Pete
I was wondering if I tested the system with a seperate 3 volt battery pack powering the sound card. Do you think that might show where the problem is ?
