Started weathering Pershing

Started with a pinwash





Then moved onto filtering with oils



Started at back of the tank and did the deck

The Obsolete metal radio aerial stub is easily removed if you place a Soldering Iron on the top of the aerial stub (Don't Press) allowing the stub to heat up when it will simply drop through the Tank body leaving a small hole that is easily filled with "Green Putty" or a similar filler

Looking good. It’s always nice to see progress photos as good as yours.
Jarndice has a great suggestion and I agree that now would be the time to do it.

cheers guys, Yeah I probably should remove it. Would it be right to add some dark rust with some black pigments over it on the engine cover grills

Working my way around and I dont know if I want to keep this? Part of me says keep going then decide then another part says just prime it and start again. In certain light it looks okay ( for me ) and others not so.





Maybe once the oil filter is done and I add pigments and seal it will all come together?

So are you covering all surfaces with the wash then wiping it off? And what product are you using? Looking good so far!

I quite like to see weathering threads as I sometimes learn/see some new techniques that may give my own weathering a better look but many, self included don’t really go into detail with weathering
