RC 1/35 Churchill AVRE tank question

Post by Diamond geezer »

I am attempting to convert the 1/35 AFV Churchill AVRE tank kit to rc. Could someone possibly suggest a suitable twin motor and gear box that might fit into the rather narrow hull? Something like a motor from a donor motorised tank kit. I wondered whether one of the cheap 1/48 Academy remote control tanks might be suitable, as these seem to have decent motors and compact gearboxes. Any help gratefully received!

The Churchill hull is narrow. You might be able to squeeze these small twin gearbox inside with some modifications, such as stripping them of all their brackets and removing some thickness from their shell. They are fast gearbox.
