Taigen IMEX Torro KV-1 discontinued?

I read a few times that Taigen was making its own version of KV-1, however recently nobody has it for sale. Discontinued due to COVID madness or some other reasons? I was only able to find some pics...

I have an older Taigen KV1 which, with a lot of metal in the hull, runs very well although it took a fair bit of teweeking of the torsion bar suspension to get it sitting right.

Given you are in the US, why not call IMEX and ask? I've just looked at Forgebear UK web site and Dave has endless Taigen KV1 parts but no complete examples. You could try messaging him too.

I shoot them email last week. The site imex-model.com looks like it's half alive and missing some elements. No mention of KV-1 for sale whatsoever. Ebay KV-1 search brings up a few Torro ones (I'm not sure what they are) and lots of Heng Longs.

Taigen created their own website separate from Imex now: https://www.taigentanks.com/ The KV-1 is gone from the site. If they are redesigning it, that would be the reason why. The Taigen version should be the same as the Torro version. Covid has extended timelines for things in the pipeline. I'm sure Erik will respond, but he is a busy guy and that can cause a delay in response.

Thanks for clarification! Yes this site has more life in it but I think they both refer to the same exact company. Is Eric member here?

They are the same company. They may not be updating the tank info on the primary Imex site anymore. I'm not sure if they updated the contact info to reflect the new site. Just wanted to make sure you were aware in case Erik has a new contact Email due to the new site. Erik is also a member over at RC Universe. Not sure if he is a member here.

It may be discontinued by Haifeng (KY Model) who makes these for Taigen & Torro. Haifeng sells Torro's tank brand in China but I don't see if listed anymore on their Taobao store

Since Erik never got back to me I went ahead and purchased (the last one?) of Torro KV-1 instead of a Tiger 1
Taigen V3 controller 360 deg, Airsoft, what do I need to add IR to the model? V3 has two IR ports on it.
