Czech Hedgehogs

Post by Rattlesnake road »

Sorry to those if the name spelling is wrong.
I am along the lines of making some of these to use in the club, my issue is at 66 the grey matter is not helping me decide on the dimensions.
The length of the girders and the sizes of the interlocking plates.
Any of you guys made these and willing to pass on the sizes.
Thank you for reading and any assistance.

I have a load of Hedgehogs, but instead of making them, I found it less expensive just to buy them. I don't know where you are, but maybe European firms are accessible to you. To save shipping costs, I put together larger orders from Licmas (Matthias Lickel) also called Heng-Long-Panzer of Germany. I have always had fine service, careful packing, prompt shipping (until the shipment gets to the US, where it slows, but that's not the seller's fault).

Here are the tank traps:

And a few dragon's teeth make for a good scene, too. This are surprisingly heavy:

My 11 year old grandson is making up some dragons teeth, I just have to get him modelling clay for his figures in return. I have loads of plastic sheet and other bits from my 54 mm days.

Thank you for the info though.

I've always wanted to do some Dragon's Teeth made out of concrete with a stick coming out the bottom. The stick would keep them planted to the ground if a tank decided to try and actually drive over them. It wouldn't be hard to make a wooden mold with a bunch of them for a concrete pour.

Herr Dr: Am I correct to assume that those hedgehogs from Licmas are plastic?

hi guys

if you look aprox in the middle on this page

viewtopic.php?f=188&t=17333

you wil see how we make our own Czech Hedgehogs, we have tons of them, also we make our dragon teeth, you can see them on page 3

we have made in resin and in plaster. In plaster is easy and cheaper, in the pics in page 3 you can see them made in white plaster, after this batch we made them already dyed, so we put colorant to the water to mix with the plaster

best regards
Jussek
