1/6 M5 Stuart exhaust deflectors

Post by billgiff »

I've been working on a rebuild of my 1/6 M5 Stuart and I'm nearing the end. There are 2 issues that need to be fixed,
the first one are the rear exhaust deflectors and the second being the driver windshield and or just the mount.
Does anybody know who or where I could acquire these items? I've looked at Shapeways but their prices seem a bit expensive.
I also have access to a 3D printer so I could try and upload a program like the ones on Thingiverse.
Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks, Bill

You could try building your own exhaust in PVC or other soft material. Mainly need a quarter round material that is about the right size with some polystyrene plates of the right thickness for the body. The interior details are pretty much all hidden anyway, no details required. Only the end facing the rear shows a bit behind the grill that should be applied on top. The windshield is also not too complicated to do with polystyrene plates and some hobby tools.
