Why is it that when you click an image some don't enlarge ?

I've often wondered how that works, Ronnie. It appears, though that images around the 351kb limit are digitally compressed when posted here. This makes them appear considerably more compact then they really are. Clicking on them then somehow releases the pictorial genie.
Small images (say 100kb), are not compressed, and that's why they remain the size they were when they were posted.
Posting pics form Imgur seems to bypass the compression process. Thus, they appear full size right from the start. :) I think.. :think: BIG
