Just joined!

I am about to purchase my first RC Tamiya 1/16 tank, probably the Tiger 1.
No doubt I will have a few questions along the way!

Hello and welcome to the forum dougan  nice choice for a first tamiya, take a look in the sub sections of the forum and you can see what other's have done to their tanks and maybe pick up some info or a tip or two

Cheers, Lee.

Welcome!
Yes, the Tamiya Tiger 1 was truly a groundbreaking model (and if it had heavy metal tracks- it could be again :D ).
I have two of them, but for looks, I really prefer the Panzer IV ausf J. The downside, is that it's a lot more expensive than the Tiger. :problem:
The Jagdpanther also has its own aficionados, and I've been busy converting the static version to full RC. All in all, though, as with Tigers from other makers, you'll find the Tiger best served by aftermarket spares and upgrades.
