Fitting a spring centering kit to the spektrum Dx5e

Ok, so you have contacted Spektrum and receieved your spring kit. What next ???

Step one: open the transmitter! ;D
Six screws on the rear case

Step two: Remove the four screws from the front that hold on the stick assembly

Step three: Remove the the screw holding the ratchet arm in place

Step 4:
Remove the 2 screws holding the "end cap" with the potentiometer on.

Step 5:
Assemble the long screw in the kit to the smaller of the 2 black plastic parts. Do not thread it all the way in tho! Fit this into the slot on the end cap.

Look at the other centering assembly for guidance, but again do not do the long screw up at this point!

Step 6:
Assemble the larger of the 2 Black plastic parts in the kit as shown.

Step 7:
Assemble the Spring as shown. Once you have the spring on the 2 hooks, you can tighten the long screw to tension it.

Step 8:
Reassemble the end cap, making sure that you have positioned the stick so that the lug indicated in the picture locates on top (or on the bottom, depending on how you want to look at it ::) ) of the arm. If you have to force the end cap on, you do not have the stick correctly positioned!

Final step:
Reassemble by following steps 1 to 3 in reverse order.

An excellent guide! This will come in handy for a lot of guys out there. I should do one for the Futaba's as well.
