Rooting around for parts, you come across bits that might 'come in handy' later. Or, maybe just fill that one remaining (therefore lonely) unoccupied space in the house
I saw these press-fit drive shaft supports at Haya's, and thought that they might have passed unnoticed by some forum members:

Then, I noticed this new-fangled recoil from HL on Forgebear's site:

It works with the TK6.1 series of MFU's. I like the look of it, as it's possible to use the Panther/Sherman elevation unit with it, because it incorporates an elevation guide on the side of the unit. Servo recoil is also catered for, and looks like a doddle to set up. So much so, that I think I'll try to fit it into my Comet. (Famous last words...
)
Curiously, the guides themselves are available from rctank.de and can be used to adapt Airsoft guns, as well as the older HL recoil unit, to use the Sherman/Panther- style elevation unit. Or, perhaps even a servo arm.
These are the elevation motor arm guides You can see one fitted to the side of the metal recoil unit (above):

If you check the StuG 111, Sherman of Jagdpanther Airsoft units out, you'll see that the guns gave these channels attached to the sides.
This is the elevation unit:

Then, given the fickle nature of some Airsoft units, it's always handy to have a few of these units to hand- when the gun's 'firing blanks'

Given the cost, it's economic prudence to keep a spare, or two.
In the unlikely event, you're not familiar with Forgebear's website, it's:
https://www.forgebeartanks.com/store/c1 ... ducts.html
Then I chanced upon a neat it of improvisation in the archive here. It's a new take on using parts from an aquarium shop to rejig the stock smoker arrangement, courtesy of 'Evad' (I'm guessing that's an anagram of 'Dave').
Anyone else who's seen useful bits and bobs, or even clever solutions, is welcome to post them here.
