Hi from Las Vegas!

Post by Dinandriver »

Hi fellas, I appreciate being accepted to the forum.
A little but about me: I’ve been into RC stuff since age 12 (I’m 45 now). My first RC was a Tamiya Fast Attack, followed by an RC-10 and many other Tamiya cars. I jumped to RC planes about 20 years ago, when I could afford them a bit more. Fast forward to today and I’m wanting to get back into RC’s and tanks were always very cool, but found them expensive since back in the day Tamiya was the only contender (I think). I started Youtubing tanks for kicks and noticed many more tank makers; Heng Long, Taigen and Torro all of which seem very cool.
Anyway I look forward to my first tank...
Thanks!

Welcome aboard! My wife and I got married in Las Vegas 10 years ago. You’re right about this being a great time to get into rc tanking. Enjoy.

Another returner to the flock!. I was the same era until about 4 years ago. Always wanted a Tamiya Fast Attack. Settled for a Boomerang and Grasshopper back then.
Some tanks are great others are so-so and you can sink piles into upgrading stuff.

Thanks guys!

Jarlath: Thats funny cause I was always very envious of the Boomerang back then, having that cool oil suspension, 4 wheel drive... The Fast Attack back in the day had some pretty bad flaws that Tamiya fixed on the ReRe but back in the day were causing me to replace loads of parts on the reg.
Anyhow, cheers buddy!
