because it should be blind.

only the person should know who they voted for unless they wish to state it by there own choosing.
If all else fails your just not using the right sized hammer.

Who you vote for in any election is a private matter and should remain so.

I’m relatively new but I’m still surprised at how few votes are cast. I’ve only read one member’s post actually explaining why he doesn’t vote, not that it’s any of our business of course, but that leaves 5,999 other members. I guess maybe only about 20 or so are active in forum conversations.

Possibly a lot of people don't enter for the same reason you don't ;)

To be fair, we don't really have 6000 ish members, at least a quarter have been banned as spammers. Probably another quarter have never posted a single post. And probably another quarter have stopped visiting the forum. Leaving approximately 1500 active members, a lot of which hardly ever visit, or post.

As for showing who voted, that's a good way to lose friends if you find out they didn't vote for your model etc, or cause bad feelings. I'm not saying that's definite, but it's one of those things that could happen. As we all know, voting knowledge can cause disagreements, which lead to arguments etc.

Sadly, not everyone likes the TOTM or the idea of the TOTM, but we keep it running for those that like it, it's like a lot of subjects on this board, not every subject is everyone's cup of tea, but we have the few that enjoy them, so they're kept anyway.

Make that 5,998, because I vote each and every month.

As Max-U52 and others have stated, your vote should and always will remain anonymous.

Those willing to vote are greatly appreciated and I do believe more members should enter.

I know some may be deterred by the likes of some of our stellar builders, but that shouldn't take away your opportunity to showcase your hard work.

I've tried like hell some months and lost, and surprised myself and won when I had entered a build I felt was not my best work

Remember its all for fun. And those who enter deserve our help and support every month as fellow members.
Tanks alot....
