an idea

Post by BREL »

I am buying some extra crystal sets so that there is less of a chance of clashes with other members tanks at Cobatton
I was thinking of making an extention lead to plug the Rx crystal into to save opening up my Pershing tank every time I change frequency.
to do this I was going to remove the crystal holder of a blown HL receiver board and the lower part of a dud HL crystal to make the lead, so that it sits at the back of the turret area in the tanks lower hull and wrap the crystal in shrink tubing to prevent shorting out,

just had another thought about placing the crystal holder in the co drivers hatch if there is enough room over the battery

you could do or in the turret below the loaders hatach, but there will probably be no room above the re-coil.

cheers,
