Hi all,
I need a little help with picking out unit markings and paint schemes... I want a few more tanks to go with my 502nd heavy tank battalion Tiger and Panzer III in early 1943, but I'm struggling to identify other units in the area. Does anyone know any Panzer or Stug fromations involved in the seige of Leningrad around that time?
How about suggestions for T34 and KV1 markings?

Re: Help needed with unit markings
Cheer's Rivet!
I'm looking for markings for my new Panzer IIIF, maybe december 1942 is a little late in the day but I don't have any French, Polish or British tanks to justify starting a 1939/1940 group
I have identified the 10th Panzer as a unit that was in reserve during the initial drive to Leningrad, but they headed south when the 4th and 6th Panzer armies were sent to Stalingrad.
So far the only Russian tank unit I could track down was the 61st (later 30th Guards), but they were equiped with T60's smuggled in on coal barges... I had read that KV-1E's (the HL version) were built in Leningrad, so there should have been a few knocking around. Even if I just get Markings for a KV and my T34/76 that would be something

OK I’m no expert on this period of the war all my stuff is mostly mid and late war but you are dealing with Army Group Centre so it’s the Divisions associated with this also this question would be better asked on the “Axis History Forumâ€

Re: Help needed with unit markings
Ok next challenge!
I have tracked down 2 units equiped with early production Su-122s in the Leningrad area, the 1433rd and 1434th self-propelled artillery regiments. Does anybody have pictures in their vast collections?
Ta!
