Removal of battery box.

Post by Ragnar »

Noticed the battery box in my panzer 3 is attached to 4 of the posts for attaching the upper hull. Are these the only attachment points or is the battery box also a part of the tank floor that will need to be cut on all 4 sides in order to remove it?

I've removed the battery box on many tanks, the easiest way is to remove the cover and use a rotary saw on a dremel from underneath. Leave the lip in place so that you can replace the cover afterwards. That way you can screw the upper hull on still access the battery lead to recharge the battery in the tank. Four or six screw mounts are all that are needed to keep the two halves secure and stop anything twisting, the upper and lower become a box section when screwed together.
