Separating the upper and lower hull panzer 3

I know I’ve come across this a half doz.times but now I can’t find it. Trying to remember which 4 or 5 screws ya remove to separate the upper/lower hull

And that is what got me on the road to using "Countersunk Neo-Dymion Magnets" to hold together nearly all my Tanks.

I recommend them.
Alternatively you could fit a Taigen Quick Release system which can be retrofitted to most Heng Long and Taigen Tanks very easily.
Imex, Forgebear and RC TanksDe should have the kit for sale.

Here you go Mr Ragnar, a countersunk hole.
The angle of which can vary, especially in the states, but Europe and the rest of the metric world mainly form them using a 90° countersink for a 45° chamfered hole for woodworking and engineering countersunk headed screws.

LOL, you said "define countersunk," had you added the word magnet. . . .

These are those countersunk magnets, on the site Mr jarndice recommended.

When installing the magnets is it necessary to trim the posts to adjust the height of the upper hull in relationship to the lower hull? The magnets it seems to me would add a bit of height leaving a gap between the upper/ lower hull,

Ragnar Hi, You will know the thickness of the magnet so you simply remove that amount from the post it is to be mounted upon,
Rather more importantly I hope you realise that you will need to have an "Iron object" in the opposing post although I use another magnet which means reducing that post by the thickness of its magnet.
If you do use another magnet you will need a "North" if it is opposite a "South" or vice versa because of course a "North" facing a "North" will repel the other magnet as will a "South" facing a "South".
You might think that you only have to turn the magnet over to get the "North" "South" effect but the countersunk hole is only on one side so that instead of the magnet attracting the opposite magnet instead it is attracting the projecting screw head
