Tank commander in turret

Post by Ragnar »

Wanting to mount my TC in the turret but not permanently and not bouncing around or jumping out of the turret. Still need access to the BB loading chute.....any thoughts...ideas gentlemen?
One thought I have entails a small thin piece of metal glued in the turret hatch opening and a flat Refrigerator magnet on the bottom of the TC. That way can pop him in or out at will.
Thoughts or ideas gentlemen?

You said magnet, he said magnets.
That flat rubbery magnetic bit on the back of fridge ornaments against plain metal isn't so good, but two little very good magnets is loads better ;)

Velcro also works pretty good.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

A small square of two sided foam tape works for me.

A small self adhesive backed Velcro patch works for me.

Miss’s had two sets of 1/4” velcro dots that seem to be working fine if Not will look at magnets!
What I like about the Velcro is the height of the TC , afraid two magnets stacked on each other will have him standing to high in the turret.

Update:
Had to super glue the Velcro to the bottom of the figurines and to the interior hatch floor for the Velcro to remain in place but it’s working quite well with no jiggling around by the figurines or worst losing them out of the turrets....
Suprising as I expected wobbly TCs bouncing around .

Awesome, glad you're sorted.
Mind you, I should imagine real tank commanders would have flopped around a bit over bumps ;)
