British Super Pershing
British Super Pershing
Hi Guys,
This may not be quite the right place but here goes.
If the Super Pershing had ever fallen into our superior British tankcrew's hands, and we thoroughly exploited it's potential, would it have been possible to throw in an anti-tank version of the 25lber or even the 32lber from the Tortoise?
Because crazy as it may seem that is my next build. The colour scheme I haven't decided on, maybe a Mickey Mouse scheme or an urban cam like the 60's and 70's British Berlin colours. I suppose the setting would be something like Berlin '46. The Germans had their Paper Panzers, so why not us?

PS has anyone made a Tortoise in 1/16th or God forbid 1/6th? That I would truly like to see.

Re: British Super Pershing
If we had got our hands on the Super Pershing first thing we would have done is throw away the crappie main gun and replace with either a 17pdr or a 105mm from Centurion
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Re: British Super Pershing
oohh love the sound of this
as rivet said the main would be gone and definatly the 105mm from the cent
maybe some different stowage arrangements ie stowage bins from the centurion like they did with the scorpion/scimitar using chieftain bins

Re: British Super Pershing
Rob you really do have a love for tank bins dont you ?!

Re: British Super Pershing
Thanks for the comments, but I think the 25lber muzzle break would look cool, maybe even give it 3 holes instead of the 2 on the towed gun . I know what you mean about changing the bins to give it a British look, but wouldn't square sided bins look a little out of place on a tank with a turret with such obvious curves? It would be like nailing bits of 4"x4" wood to the sides of Chris Moyles' head........on second thoughts where are my nails?

Re: British Super Pershing
Thanks for the link. The IDF Pershing looks good, a proper mishmash of tanks.
Does anyone do a 1/16th British crewman/men in Pixie suits or resin/metal tiger tracks in 1/25th?
