And so it begins, Panzer IV, my first tank
Well it arrived on Wednesday, so today I had a look properly. It’s going to be a long build I think and I’m going to be on a steep learning curve!

"And so it begins",
Might I suggest you go to the download section on the header of this page and download the pdf of the Tamiya Panzer 4 instructions.
I have found it to be very helpful.

Very nice Andrew
take your time and familiarise yourself with all the parts before comitting to gluing, dry fitting parts at first if possible to make sure they fit and line up, as Shaun suggested take a look at the download section for instructions, plenty of help also found on here if you have any questions
Cheers, Lee.

Good luck with the build, and do enjoy it. I have a Tamiya Pz IV build thread here listed under 'Contemplating a Pz IV'. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=23848&hilit=contemplating
You can check it out, should you need to compare notes.

Good luck, the trickiest part is the suspension and fitting everything inside
A fun tank.

Good luck! I've been eyeing this kit. Are you RC'ing it?
Re: And so it begins, Panzer IV, my first tank
If it’s the full option version, it’ll have everything he needs.
Re: And so it begins, Panzer IV, my first tank
I've been curious whether Tamiya or Trumpeters is better.. Though obviously Tamiya's from an RC perspective is ready to go. I'm unsure if the Trumpy one is.

If you want a truly detailed Panzer 4 shelf queen then the Trumpeter is the way to go,
The interior is something else, the engine bay is complete in every way as is each crew station and therein lies the problem,
If you want an R/C Panzer 4 most of that detail has to be discarded because there is no space for it,
If you don't want a detailed static PZ4 but a R/C PZ4 than for all that the Tamiya is expensive you wont end up with half a box of detailed parts that you cannot use.
