Mato toys making a new type of gearbox for HL tanks

Post by Matdragon »

((...Hi guys just received this email from mato toys...))

Dear Matthew,

We have a good news for you.

We are developing a new designed metal gearbox, which can fit Henglong tanks. It is made of brass, more power, more durable. This is what the tank modelers are looking for when upgrading to metal tracks, etc. It can make the tank climb steeper hills etc. off road conditions.

Attached are the photos for your reference.

We will start the mass production. If you like, we can put your order together with our production.

Look forward to your early reply.

Best regards,
Mato Toys

Looks like the Stug production gearbox with brass gears.  Forgbear sells the HL 'production' version.

Those look kind of like the Tamiya or the Impact gearboxes.  But, they do look a lot better than the current HL boxes.  Any idea what the price point will be?

They look excellent. Are they reduced ratio, and did they give any details of price?

Cheers
