Aluminium speaker housing (box)

Post by Ludwig von wigbearer »

Hi all, as in the heading is an alloy box a good idea for a speaker housing or is plastic better, the main reason I am asking is that I am
interested in trying to make an acoustic smoker, any ideas welcome,

I would have thought the sound would resonate more in a tin box and distort the sound, that's why speaker boxes are wood or plastic to stop that happening.

I love the humour behind the suggestion, :haha:
Perhaps you should eat the Beans or corn then wash the tin out and put the speaker in it then pack cotton wool or other wadding around the speaker.
Or you could just go to any number of dealers who will sell you a speaker housing box.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Definitely no speaker needed. Just #pötpötpöt while going rc. No need for a smoker too. All delivered with the beans. ;)
