Hi I've just joined the forum and have 2 HL King Tiger's which I have just also bought. One is the early turret and the other one is the full production turret. They are completely standard at the moment and not even put the accessories on yet. The early turret has developed a fault and the turret in it turning properly,
but I'm planning on modifying things so it's not going back. I want to change to a Clark TK24 electronics and do zimmerit and some better decals for both of them.

A nicely done KT should be in everyone's collection, they look great when rumbling around a battlefield.

I've ordered some better batteries and a Tk24 board already. I've now also a Spekctrum Dx6i controller with a reciever. So this are starting to progress on the inside. But not much on the outside yet.

Just a quick update. The first thing i`ve done is put magnets on the body and the chassis, so I don`t have to use screws anymore when separating the two. I`ve got the TK24 board, and am waiting for parts to complete the installation. Once those parts have arrived I will try to sort out which wire goes where on the receiver as I`ve got a Spektrum DX6i to use. I`ve just ordered some IR convertion kit to get rid of the BB system. I`ve yet to find a replacement recoil kit for the early turret, but have got one for the production turret.

The only problem that I`ve got at the moment is that I don`t know how to take the pins out the tracks to replace links.

I am looking forward to getting her running again for some fun

I`ve started to place the accessories on to make sure everything is ok before I start with the repaint job.

If I recall correctly, Heng Log track pins are knurled at one end to hold them in place. This means you need to drive them out from the opposite end. I have found this generally to mean you drive from the outside. If you have no old track pins to use, then a drill bit can substitute. A few light taps and you should see some movement. If not, then try driving them the other way.
