Suprise suprise another king tiger thread :)

Post by michelekingtiger »

well have finnaly put together my king tiger porsche turret, i got rid of the jagdtiger top and have put the rebuilt turret onto the chassis :)

i havent got a good photo of it yet as im just using my webcam one at the moment, i really do want to make this RC, but last time i did for when it was a jagdtiger it was a nightmare, it seemed the metal tamiya chassis was too much for the hen long electronics, so thats why i have wanted a matorro king tiger under hull to put this king tiger on, but finding one is very hard.

so does anyone know any otherway to make it rc? like what electronics are needed and stuff, ive got hardly any money as im saving up for something right now. but anyway if you wish to comment on my king tiger please do so and if you have any questions please ask away :)

also if anyone knows the right decals for king tigers, as mine is painted in western front colours im finding it hard to get the right ones as im also just going on images i found on the internet.

cheers

My Tamiya KT is running Heng Long electrics and i have had no problems yet, i started of with a RX14 board but have just upgraded to the RX18 and it still runs fine, im just about to start fitting the recoil and elevation units in the turret and then it should be finished, i am also running Impact tracks and 3-1 reduction gearboxes and still i have no problems with the Heng Long electronics so i would reccommend this route as it is probably the cheapest option also.

i like what you've done their :) sounds basic but effective, think maybe mine doesnt work so well because it has old plastic gearboxes from my really old tiger.
btw does anyone know what alan key you need that fit the alan key bolts on the king tigers suspension arms? i went through all the ones i have in my tool box but none seem to fit :|

Hi Michelekingtiger I think you need either a 1.5 or 2.0mm Allen key for the KT suspension grubscrews. Hope this helps
