Tam-Long Late Tiger (WIP)

Post by chrisbids33 »

I've been going through my boxes and found enough parts to build a hybrid Tiger. The main chassis and turret are Hen Pong with Tamiya electronics (T01). Spent about £50 on Evilbay for late Tiger bits and (after telling the missus I was doing DIY in the garage) managed to put together a half-decent version. The paint job looks over exposed in the photo's - it's much more matt in the flesh and came out quite good. I've also got another electronic unit in the chassis which I'm going to try-out tomorrow - photo's to follow. Few more bits to sort (numbers, skirts, rear-end, etc) - I was considering leaving the skirts/front mudguards off though, as it looks 'different' without - opinions ?

Let me know what you think:

Nice one, paint looks good. I geuss that in some circumstances the mud flaps and skirts would have been left off. Nice work. ;D

Looks great. Especially the 'dusty' look. Very effective.

BLOODY hell it's burning put it out  ;D. Now that looks good and I like the mean and moody look of the Tiger with out any frills. To be honest I am going to go that way with mine if I ever get my others finnished. Good work and keep it up

Chris,
I have to say that I'm  very impressed with your smoker in the tank burnt out look that is by far the most imaginative thing I have seen for a while, what smoker did you use?
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
