8 wheeler chassis convertion

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

Hi.
Excellent work.
How about a mobile rocket launcher like a Scud missile system you could even have the rocket lift up to verticle as if to launch ? Just a thought...well done.

Superb chassis
Something like a scud or Tatra is the way i would go. Also quite easy(well time consuming) to make out of plasticard aswell and would look really good. Front driving axle needs doing though, but also another easy job if you decide to make a new steering arm for the most rearward steering axle.

I would maybe however look at upgrading the internals of the differentials as they do not like high torque situations and seem to round the splines all too easy when driving another axle.
