The M31 TRV had a winch that used a PTO from the transmission. The diesel powered M31B1s PTO was at the front of the twin diesels.

Hi folks, ive whipped something up quickly for the back of my T-34 ARV. Please feel free to comment, too modern looking? or in keeping with the period? Any suggestions are more then welcome.

Great idea Luke using a motorbike chain but realisticly it wouldnt be strong enough to pull a tank but 10 out of 10 for imagination

Cool, just the sort of feed back i was after. I'll have a re-think. On the few drawings i have, the rear has just got a hole with a cable coming out of it, a bit boring to look at, still early days yet.
