My wife's new "desert pink" Sherman
Built for my lovely wife who is looking forward to kicking some ass in Oshawa at Aquino weekend this year. Hey Frank! Remember when you built this upper for me 2 or 3 years ago? I finally finished it! LOL! Running with TK22 Clark board, servo recoil and elevation, TARR smoker, Tamiya TBU, Metal sprockets, adjustable idlers, and bearings in all the bogies. A few parts from Dave at Forgebear, some of pieces from Valuegear as well as stuff I cast myself like British helmets, ammo boxes, etc... The paint job is early 43 "desert Pink" Yes that was a specified colour. Almost coral. It is interesting how even at this scale it seems to change colours depending on the sunlight. It can really look pink when darker or almost sand in bright light. Decals are my own. .30 Cal is 3D printed base mount with a metal .30 Cal MG with magnetic base for easy removal.

Good evening,
I love the early Shermans and this is a beautiful example! As usual, Frank builds them best. ;o)
regards,
Painless

If you check your post, you will find that you have photo 1 posted 4 times and photo 5 posted once. Photos 2-4 you did not post at all. The forum software has included then automatically.dgsselkirk wrote:Not sure why it repeated the first pic 3 times! LOL!

I will admit that when I saw the title is this post, I ran out & got my welding helmet, just in case it was another outrageous ambush like the General used to pull on us back
The n the day
!!
Sure looks sand to me, but then that’s the plan with the desert pink .
I’m surprised one of the truck kits has not been done as an LRDG vehicle in the same colours by now !

I think I saw one years back. I am on the hunt for a static one for the field. I plan on doing a Grant and an A1 in the same colours. I like it a lot!

Thought I would show the scratch built rear end of wifey's early desert Sherman in action. I just wanted to do something different and so consulted the Son of Sherman bible for a different rear end layout. This is a TARR smoker using Megasteam fluid.
