Quick question on late war Tiger 1 cupola.

Ive had my HL tiger 1 for a while Im curently re-doing it . I had replaced the cupola with the late war version . To fit it I removed as much as possible of the HL cupola and glued it on . But comparing it with photos of Tiger tanks it looks to sit to high and the angles of the cupola look diferent . I have reduced the height of my metal one so it looks a bit lower and the angle more accurate ? I have put two picts bellow before and after . Any comments welcome.

yeah the second picture is just about right i think a great improvement!

I had a WSN tiger with that cupola and it deffinatly looked more like the second picture, it certainly had a lower profile compared to your first picture.

Yup... looks good.  Mine bothers me a bit too, but I'm going to leave it as is.  With my luck it would fall off while driving so I left the original cupola inner ring to glue it to.  Here's some pics I found on the 'net of a late turret.

Any tips for mounting the spare track holders so they are evenly spaced and straight?? Yours look great!

    Thanks for the coments . Its just been bugging me how mine and others Ive seen seem to sit to high and have an incorrect angle . I just fileed it down to reduce the height and filed the sides carefully to change the angle . Ive seen cupolas you can buy in the UK that are correct since tho . As for the spare track holders they came with a paper template to mark the holes . I will say tho that I have re -done them as I put them on incorectly . I could photo copy the templatte and post it if I can find it . But Im sure they all come with one .

Hi Thanks yer Ive seen the WSN Tiger and I agree it sits lower to . It just bugged me every time I compared it with wartime pictures of Tigers .

I bought mine on eBay from Tankworkshop in the UK and unfortunately they didn't come with a template.  If you've still got it I would really appreciate a copy - not necessary to send one, but if you could scan or attach a pic to an email that would be great
