Asiatam Blitz Control Board Question

Post by Max-U52 »

Hi Guys. I picked up an Opel Blitz from Asiatam a couple years ago and I got the most complete version they offered at the time, which came with the mother board and radio. I run it on a 2S lipo and it's OK, but very, very slow for scale. I just received a small (1000 mah) 3S lipo that I ordered from hobby king, but I'm a bit nervous about trying it. Asiatam says this board can handle 12 volts, but having had one fry on me already with a 2S I'm extra shaky about trying the 3S. Replacing this board the first time cost me $120 and I don't want to do that again, so the question is this:

Has anyone tried the asiatam board for the Opel Blitz with a 3S lipo, and what happened? Runs great on 12 volts or lets the magic smoke get loose? Do you have to change anything on the board to go from 2S to 3S?

Here's the board I have

Thanks, Guys. 8)

I guess this board is more rare than I thought? I figgered at least someone would know someone that had one. I guess I'll just have to get over it and plug the thing in and see what happens. The manual says 6 - 12 volts, so I guess we'll see.
