Hi mick,
case hardening powder was quite readily available in Australia. It was sold under the trade name of Hardite. As far as I know it was not deadly. But you made me curious and I will investigate further. Thank you.
Walter

Hi Kostyanchik,
belatedly I thank you for bringing to my attention the new Johnson 395 10 grade rotor motor.
I still experiment with gear boxes. I find the motor plays a very important roll in the performance in a gear box.
Yesterday I ordered 2 Johnson 395 motors on the internet. I really look forward for their arrival.
Regards Walter

Do these Johnson 395 motors have the same shaft diameter and two screw fixing holes in the same place as the Heng Long motors?

Therefore, can they be used as a direct swap for the Heng Long motors?

Mick.

Mick.
Motor diameter : 27.6mm
Motor length : 46.5mm
Shaft diameter : 2.3mm
Shaft length : 13mm
Screw holes : M 2.5
Mounting holes distance : 16 MM

They seem to be 390 motors so same as HL but longer casings? If they are longer, I haven't measured an HL one, then they may not fit. Worth getting a ruler out for though.

Thanks Rob

I very much like the number of poles these motors have, means better low speed control.

These motors correspond in their dimensions to the R390 and speed 480 motors.
Compared with the standard HengLong motors, these motor shells are approximately 10 mm longer.
