One for the survivalists out there, just in case the world turns upside down. This go anywhere(ish) beast of a vehicle is just mad. Yes i probably have lost my mind. but i should explain!
Bought a 1/24 T90 China tank thingy off a well know auction site and it was cheap, but then again it looked rough. Actually when i got it home it was rough, worse than i thought.
I ran out of ideas and i was going to burn it in the garden and leave it as a wreck on my RC playground which we are currently building.
But i tried the motors and drive and it runs great. But the turret looked past it, so i decided i would build a tracked vehicle for fun. (Sh**s & Giggles as they say!)
Bought a cheap ABS bodyshell, it had to be a VW camper of sorts and with some simple measurements found it fit the shell size quite nicely.
Bit of trimming and i found the shell wrapped round quite nicely.
Just workign on detailing at the moment, but whilst i was at it, i decided i wanted it to have a rollcage to beef up the looks of this thing. So i had some old steel brake line i was throwing out after replacing the brake lines on my wifes car and decided it would be good for the cage.
I am just building the interior around this now, but this model will now have 2 identities. One with the shell on, or when going more mad, one with the shell off. In both trims it looks mad fun. I hope you think the same.
As for power plant, the motors may get some work as i want this to rocket along, no slow stuff here. Maybe see if we go twin 2s or 3s power.
