Hello guys,
Having just recieved a new Taigen Mid Production Tiger 1, I have to say I have mixed feelings about it, comparing it to my Sherman, I am surprised by some of the features it doesn't have compared to Heng Long, an example being it doesn't have proportional turret rotation or separate elevation and depression of the gun, the gearbox's and steering control are far superior as well the it looks bloody marvelous, but the most annoying feature is the track recoil, every time I fire the main gun, the tank recoils enough to make the gun depress so the pellets just hit the floor and bounce up.
I also think the stock sounds from HL are more enjoyable as my Tiger doesn't seem to get anywhere past the idle sound even at full chat, the Taigen smoker works a dream though.
Given that I paid the same cost for both, I feel rather disheartened, with the rave reviews about Taigen, I would have expected something a little better.
The list just keeps growing...

Did you get the new generation Sherman? With 2.4 and the new controller? That is indeed a vast improvement over the older series.
It would be fair to compare a HL Tiger with a Taigen Tiger. Then you will see the differences.

1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!
... Now followed by a Panther G, 'Gunther'!
I'm a happy man.
