new to RCTankwarfare
After 25 years I picked up this hobby again. No longer taking part of the red race of our live, I now have time to start all over. In my 20-30's I did a lot of modeling mostly military in the scale 1:72 and 1:35. Now I have decided to do RC 1:16. So I bought my first kit: a Tamiya Super Sherman. My goal is to build a M4E8 based on this kit. I purchased an easy-eight conversion kit from Nick Agular and started to combine these kit parts together with the Tamiya kit in order to have a convincing, full RC-operating, easy-8 Sherman 1:16 scale. I hope to learn a lote here so I am looking forward to hear from you.

Welcome EZ!. With choice ingredients like the ones you've selected for your debut in 1/16 RC tanking, you should be able produce some tasty eye-candy
Ad Lav, a significant Tamiyanista here, was working on a related Super Sherman project last year for a friend. He used the Nick Aguilar cast hull (to brilliant effect), based a Tamiya chassis with Tamiya turret:

Welcome to the Dark Side of RC.
Where are you located? It always helps to know were a member is in case someone wants to send you parts or something. We have a lot of great guys on both sides of the puddle but postage can make a huge difference in trying to help each other out.

lol
I made an Easy8 using Tamiya base kit and a schumo turret, and as mentioned an M51 using a tamiya chassis and turret and a Nick Aguilar hull.
Great kits imo
