I formated(FAT32) a 8gb Sd card and unzipped the content of the Elmod sound file in to the root of the Sd card like they say in the manual.
when i insert the Sd card in to the Elmod board no sound is played.
Is this perhaps its a 8gb Sd card and the board dont recognize it ?
The board is running perfect with the original 4 Gb sdcard.

I dont need a bigger card the elmod works super with the 4 gb supplied card.
I was trying to put the sound files(from the elmod site) on a spare sd card and try it out.
And i did wat the manual says format and unzip i the root folder ,but the spare card i have is a 8gb

How did you format the card? There are two formats, FAT16 and FAT32 (not NTFS), so trying both of those two might find one that works. I back up my files onto the PC hard drive, though as they can be downloaded at will from the Elmod site there isn't really anything to be gained by this.
Fat32 format and unzipped the content of zip in the rootfolder of the Sd card.
I did this so i dont have to mes around with the original sd card.
So i can start experimenting on the other sd card.

My microSD card doesn't work.
Can I use a SDHC card with my ElMod module?
Applies to: ElMod Blaster IV/Blaster IV PRO, Famo, M16, 3to, Marine, Fusion ECO/PRO
As a general rule: we guarantee the compatibility to our modules only with the genuine ElMod microSD cards. Not every SD card is suitable because of the requirements of the boards. For example the SD card must be able to deliver the sound data fast enough which doesn't apply to all cards.
Furthermore the following modules cannot operate with large microSD cards (SDHC):
- Blaster IV/Blaster IV PRO with firmware 1.12 or older
- Famo
- M16
- Marine
These modules are able to handle large SDHC cards (tested up to 64GB):
- Blaster IV/Blaster IV PRO with firmware 1.13 or higher
- 3to
- Fusion ECO/PRO
How can I create a new microSD card for my ElMod module?
Applies to: ElMod Blaster IV/Blaster IV PRO, Famo, M16, 3to, Marine, Fusion ECO/PRO
- dowload the zip archive containing the current content of the SD card here
- format the microSD card (FAT oder FAT32)
- unzip the downloaded file to the root directory of the formatted SD card
- activate the desired sample set by running the "Sound Manager" located on the SD card
Important: the SD card must always be logged out properly and must not just be pulled out of the card reader.

I have updated their original sd card several times using their procedure. It has worked every time. Just recently they released a new sound zip that went into my card some days ago. By this I mean that I don't see any particular reason to treat their own sound card with reverence. It works if you rewrite it.
