Hi Phill, welcome to the group. 1/6 is a real challenge, I'd imagine. If you look at what is required to make a commercially available 1/6, there is some real engineering. 1/16 works (mostly) as its large enough to fit RC components, without placing too much strain on the drive components and chassis. Look at how heavy a 1/6 tank is and then you will see you suddenly have to use some serious metal components, and a strong chassis to carry it all. Have a look at Max U52's Hetzer videos, and that's small for 1/6, but he needed a lathe and so on to machine components to make them durable. Otherwise you are going to spend a lot to build it, only for it to lack durability. Good luck!

Hi, and welcome!. Before heading off in the direction Utopian tank sites (as per those above), I'd recommend doing a lot of research here in the Archives for hints, tips, pointers and sob-stories (together with a few triumphs
) on 1:6 builds. That way you could save yourself a lot of sweat and anguish later, not to mention a massive outlay of the folding stuff (or Bitcoins, if you have them!)
I'd begin with 1/16 and work up to 1/6 if I were you; but if you have the resources to match your ambition, many here will support you.
