Firefly and 42 Sherman recoil and flash

Post by dgsselkirk »

So before company arrives (and the buffalo Bills Game starts :-)) I got a chance to play with the 2 recoil/flash I have been working on. The first is for my Firefly project. The second is a 42 Desert Sherman I picked up from Frank H a while a go. The firefly is using a Clark Recoil. Still needs to be broken in a bit but it's working! :-) The 42 Sherman is the new Jarlath Compact Recoil System. I used it because servo elevation is going in it and used the Clark in the Firefly because I wanted to use the HL elevation...

Dean I like the results   The red compact setup is really nice. MichealC introduced me to it and it's very impressive and the spring mechanism is a nice smart idea.

Have a great Christmas

Yes, Big Mike did a nice job making the Jarlath compacts. I personally don't like the spring, makes the servos work too hard and as you can see with the tower recoils the recover is pretty quick...

you too ! :D
