Problems with Armourgeddon day out

Post by AlwynTurner »

Just a word of warning about Amourgeddon. For my 70th birthday my wife booked and paid for a £99 tank driving day for me via the Armourgeddon web site. I was supposed to get an e-mail confirming the booking and providing details.

No e-mail appeared so my wife assumed she had made a mistake with the order. So along comes her credit card bill and there's the payment. Then she e-mails Armourgeddon and they e-mail back with a phone number to call. She calls and the number no longer works. :wtf: @)

She has now got on to the credit card company to claim a refund. 8O

So be wary about booking event days with this company. Maybe it is all a collosal screw up with their booking system, or maybe they are going out of business. !!! !!!

I suggested that when she gets the cash back it goes towards paying for my new printer.

Quick update to get the story straight, apparently when the Boss tried to e-mail them the e-mail was undelivered as well, she got the phone number from the website which was also uncontactable. Looks like they have gone out of business.

Well not as unfortunate as if they'd got my money, sent me a nice e-mail, and then when I'd phoned to arrange the drive in July only would I find that my money had gone and so had they! So from a timing point of view it's not too bad, at least I get £99 towards my printer.

If this is the armourgeddon I'm thinking of, in Leicestershire, they're still posting daily on their Facebook page, so I assume are still in business.
