servo pluged into Tamiya DMD

I want to hook a servo to the turret rotation connection on a Tamiya DMD can this be done or can I only plug it into the Rx .

If you want to keep the servo working as a servo then you can only plug it into the RX (use a Y connector lead if you want the DMD to use that function too). If you only want to use the geared motor on the servo to turn the turret then you can strip out the electronics and connect the servo motor leads direct to the turret-turn connector on the MFU.
