Folks, it is with pleasure that we can announce a new volunteer/victim to administer TOTM.

Mr Carl Rainford.

Mr Hugill is a new Dad, and those that have done that gig understand & sympathise with him on beginning his very long and largely reward-less journey
Thanks for getting out in front last time the call went out Tom, so many will never do that and we applaud you for it
Time is a premium and now he is free to enter.................Hmmm
Oh well, we can all still try eh !

Mr Rainford will set his expactations & let us know in due course.
Please feel encouraged to enter(even if Tom does , we mortals can still hope !) as its down to the vote, and that folks is how democracy works .

I can only add my thanks to Tom for stepping where others feared to tread, and to welcome Mr Rainford for stepping up to the mark.

For all the members out there who think that they can't enter because their model isn't good enough, you are missing the point. Even if you get zero votes (and yes, it has happened to me when I thought mine was at least passable), you are encouraging others to do the same. We all learn from each other in this hobby, and no one knows it all.

Being the TOTM admin seems to be one task where the Officer in Charge may as well pin a target on their chest and shout "Fire", so I would ask all members, whether entering or not, to engage in discussion in a respectful way. We are not saying that differing opinions are not allowed, quite the opposite, it's not what you say, it is how you say it.

Get the camera out, pull the tank off the shelf, and take a few pics, TOTM is what you, the members, make it.

For those that know how to take clever pics, feel free to pass on tips to others, I for one would love to know how it is done.

Hello to all I want to say thank you to the administrators for the opportunity to be chosen to moderate tank of the month. For many many months before I joined the Forum I would come on as a guest and I would be in awe at some of the work that I saw. I've learned so much. I still every day see such incredible builds and ideas.

Now that I've been a contributing member for some time it is a very exciting opportunity to be more involved (as much as I possibly can) and I hope that everybody takes the opportunity to enter they're builds from the simplest to the more advanced and we will evaluate them.

As Mr Herman and Mr Wibbly have noted this should be a fun and exciting place to showcase your efforts no matter your level of experience.

Constructive feedback and bouncing ideas off of one another is the best way to come up with a decision to pick the best of the best.

It will take me a little bit of time to sort out how I want to proceed as I have to have a young family at home too so I have to set a little time aside to make sure I give this as much effort as possible.

Congratulations to Tom for his newest addition to his family.

I appreciate everyone's help in advance and any constructive ideas and feedback as to how members would like to see the TOTM work going forward are welcome!
