Interesting Find 1:6 Hetzer

Post by c.rainford73 »

I happened upon this 1/6 scale Hetzer from China. Comes with free shipping. Not much offered in details but it's not too bad looking. I'm assuming it maybe something like a Mato metal tank. Or maybe better quality?

I saw those about two weeks ago when Mike sent me the link, they're very nice looking tanks, strictly static so I don't know how hard it would be to RC one, but they only sell them fully complete and painted (it sounds like they want you to pay before they paint your tank) and when I asked them about parts, specifically sprockets and tracks, they said they won't sell parts, only complete models. I suppose they might sell parts to someone that has already bought a complete model, so if anyone does buy one let me know and we'll see if they'll sell you a set of "spare" tracks. @) @)

For an all metal pre-built tank I thought the price wasn't entirely unreasonable, and if they could do an RC version in the $3,000 to $3,500 range they just might have something. Of course, their rep for dependability and honesty has yet to be made, and that's a lot of dough to gamble, but being an ebay sale you have complete protection so go ahead, Carl, get a couple of them and send me lots of photos and videos!! :/ :haha: 8)

A good looking model, makes me wonder what it would take to RC it, besides a bucket and a half of money.

They also do some other neat stuff in 1:6, like a Universal Carrier and Goliath.

If only the prices weren't so high. $1,200 is a bit much for a static Bren carrier.

Wow that universal carrier is really cool. I've always wanted to build one of those. Even the Goliath is a very nice looking piece
