Removing gearboxes

Hey all. So it seems the rubbish zinc gears on the T90 have stripped, and the right side doesn't go forward any more. I have replacements on the way, but I'm having troubles trying the remove the gearboxes themselves. They seem to be attached to the sprocket wheels, and I cannot for the love of me find a way to remove them.
Now, how do I yank these things out?
I've removed the first half of the sprockets with the hexagon head screwdriver, it's the secondary part that's attached.

Yes, yes I'm going to remove the grass that's stick to the wheels, I know, don't kill me.

Years ago I was into model power boats and to change the flywheel on the engines I used I had a Universal puller,
It was just like you see in garage workshops but down to the size that we work with.
It might be worth searching the usual websites for something like that.

A small puller would work, I got one off our local market for a couple of quid, you could also try pouring hot kettle
water over the hub, it could free it off.

OMG!!

I thought of this too but was afraid of damage the inner thread of the shaft... And two days ago i ended swapping the 380 engines in my GB for 390s ... And i had to disassemble the GB inside the hull to gain access to the screws...

Perhaps start by Undoing the gearboxes from their mounts then screw the output shaft Hex bolt back in but just a few turns and lightly tap the head of the Hex head bolt with a hammer to get the sprocket free then undo the hex bolt and remove the sprocket and repeat for the other side.

Key thing we forgot to ask here....... How do you fit the sprocket back on? Erik's hammering method won't work there
