Wife bought a panzer 3 on eBay?? :/

Post by foxtrotraptor »

So wife just won't a heng long panzer 3 on eBay. 71 usd plus 8 shipping. It's a heng long, but I noticed it does not have a smoke and any sound function. :/. Did she get ripped off? She wanted to get it for my daughter. Of course she tells me after the fact. 8O

What's the sellers feedback?
And did they appear honest with their description?
From what I can see 100% feed back, only 42 transactions.
This was the discription:
(Never opened, never used Heng Long Panzerkampfwagen III automatic electric gun system installed. Firing range of motor air gun approx. 25 meters. Uses air soft pellets.)

A new Heng Long Panzer 3 for £60 ish is a fair price for a non smoker,
First thing to do is open it and go through it with a fine tooth comb.
Check the wiring and the gears and if you are keeping the Heng Long control board look closely at the sockets for scorch marks. B|
I don't know what aftermarket prices for Heng Long upgrades are in the USA but if you shop around a new or used control board and a smoker should be relatively cheap,
Do check the Battery box of the Transmitter they have a history of faulty contacts,
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Son of a gun-ner wrote:So, didn't claim it had a newer board like some do, so you can't report them.
And as it was bidding, seller doesn't really have control on that.
Only thing, if it looks used when you get it, you can make a claim on PayPal.
So, you'll have to sit and wait.

Mick.
Gotcha  thanks man.

I would suggest getting a NiMh replacement battery. In my experience, old nicads are not worth the trouble.

It was the improbable, and eye-catching headline/title of this thread that grabbed my attention. 8O It must be the gold standard for model tanker relationships, to have a wife who's prepared to buy a tank  :D
The Panzer 3 is not yet in my collection, but scanning the prices on Ebay UK, and a few of the more reliable vendors, suggests that what was paid is a good price, even if you have to buy a battery, and other bits. Should she really get the bug (or was it for you :D ) Taigen do a really nice metal lower hull for a temptingly low price

I would just like to say that when it comes to upgrading the Panzer III, there's not a lot of room inside. It can be done through.
