Jagdtiger turret numbering question

I'm in the process of researching a couple of things for the JT's new paint job, I've become stuck on the correct colour of the turret numbering. As the Jagdtiger is a late tank it fell under a directive introduced at the end of the war in which the numbers should be a certain height and width and to be black with a white outline. Now I'm absolutely positive that i've seen somewhere JT turret numbering in red with a white outline. Is this technically inaccurate then?

the Jagdtiger was only produced in small numbers => 88
The vehicles are very well documented.
Also the camouflage pattern and the numbering.
Look at RC-Tank.de, they offer Paint mask for all known Jagdtigers:
