Hi everyone
is there an alternative for this switch

something has burnt out and welded it solid

Is this the on/ off switch for Airsoft, or IR? The one for airsoft is not strictly necessary, but is there to prevent the gun accidentally firing. You could bypass that. Just make sure no pet eyes are in range or in line with the barrel 8O , nor human ones for that matter....especially toddlers. The one for IR could be dispensed with too, without it being a real problem. Their presence is probably to do health and safety, as well as 'ambulance chasing potential..'.

Can't imagine how the switch melted, but it must be due to a short somewhere. There should be damage elsewhere, I'd imagine, with an overload on that scale. Look for signs of burning, melted sheathing, or singed contacts..
